Does anyone know of a Wiki product that allows publishing via FTP?? I am currently looking at Bloki as a means to do this. This would allow topic authors to easily build directories and product comparisons that supplement their weblogs. For example: a Wiki that is focused on Plasma TVs. Each product would have its own page. The main page would be a product comparison page that linked to the product pages. Each product page would include links to purchase the product, editorial on the product, product info, etc. Additional pages could be built for specific users (high performance, cost conscious, etc.). I used this technique using a proprietary system at Gomez to great effect. Also, a Wiki could be built for managing the roll out of topics/categories. Each category would be managed by an editor. Each topic by an author. Topics could, depending on need, be expanded to categories. This would serve as both as a means of management as well as a directory for users if done correctly. |
